This year, the Knightsbridge Theatre is committed to maintaining a season that celebrates the female influence. Plays were selected that not only featured women as subject matter, but also gave women opportunities to direct.

THE TROJAN WOMAN: Victims of war
A modern interpretation of Euripides’ classic tale of strength in the face of doom. After being savagely defeated by their mortal enemies the Greeks, Hecuba, the fallen queen of Troy, must lead a chorus of women fated for a life of slavery.

COMEDY OF ERRORS
Director Kelly Boczek sets this Shakespearian comedy of mistaken identity in a 1920’s Detroit speakeasy at the height of Prohibition. Strong physical comedy and commedia dell’arte-styled direction make this a delightful romp for all ages.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Big Band swing and post-war celebrations decorate Jim Rice’s original adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Set in the time of Rosie the Riveter, a group of returning WWII soldiers rest up at a Santa Barbara vineyard, finding love and happiness despite stubborn wills and jealous plotting.
